The Institute of Natural Fibres and Medicinal Plants — National Research Institute tested our dried leaves using thin-layer chromatography. Under 254 nm light you can see bands of rutin, chlorogenic acid and caffeine; at 366 nm the chlorogenic acid glows blue and the rutoside orange.

What is yerba mate and where does it come from
Yerba mate is the leaf of the Paraguayan holly (Ilex paraguariensis). Our plantations lie in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil — the soil, the South American sun and the moisture of the Atlantic wind give, after five years, a leaf with the highest content of minerals and vitamins.
5 mm cut. Pure leaf, no stems and no dust — that's why the infusion is clear and the bombilla never clogs.
01Cultivation. Five years before a bush even starts growing leaves good enough for Yerbador.
02Hand harvested. We select the strongest leaves during the plant's growing season.
03Hot air drying. No fire, no smoke — the only ones on the market. That's why our dried leaves carry no smoke toxins.
04Aging. Several years, until the flavor mellows. Pure leaf, no stems.

What does yerba mate taste like?
Dry and herbal with a light bitterness — closer to green tea than to coffee. The fruit versions are milder; if it's your first time, start with those or with Slim Fit.
How much caffeine does yerba mate have?
Around 30–50 mg per serving, less than an espresso. It works longer and more gently, because theobromine and theophylline come with it — so there's no sudden crash.
Can I drink it every day?
Yes. Most of our customers drink one or two servings a day. If you're pregnant, breastfeeding or have a heart condition, talk to your doctor first.
How do I brew it so it's not bitter?
Water at 70–80 °C, never boiling. Fill the mate cup 2/3 with yerba, tilt it, pour in a little cold water, wait a minute and only then top it up with warm water.
How long does delivery take?
