An explosion of life in ceramic form.
BONSAI is a joyful, sensual, colour-pulsing matcha bowl. Its pink-green-gold reflections look like light passing through the crown of a blooming bonsai tree. Each piece is unique, as if nature itself took control over it. The colours of the bowl spread like watercolour: juicy green leaves, sunny yellow, coral reflections — like a bonsai crown against a background of white porcelain. This is a bowl full of energy, movement and light.
This is a bowl for artistic souls, for those who feel that the matcha ritual can be a dance of colours, forms and sensations. For those who drink not just tea — but delight.
Technology, quality and guarantee — Sakuro bowls

Sakuro is a matcha that simply cannot be compared to any other. Its strength lies in the highest concentration of L-theanine – this is what gives you long-lasting energy and deep focus without a hint of nervousness, instead of a short-lived buzz. Sakuro is also one of the few matchas enriched with B vitamins and aloe vera, a combination that supports the body from within and enhances the natural beauty of your skin. And its subtle, sweetish umami flavour and extraordinary aroma create an experience no other tea in the world can offer. Sakuro isn’t just matcha – it’s a new standard of quality.
✧ Antioxidants – A shield against ageing
A wealth of catechins and EGCG (epigallocatechin) neutralises free radicals, supports cell regeneration and slows down the ageing process. That’s your everyday protection against oxidative stress.
✧ B vitamins – Brain, metabolism, immunity
- Vitamin B6 and folic acid support red blood cell production and psychological functions.
- Riboflavin and biotin care for the skin, hair and mucous membranes.
- They help maintain a normal energy metabolism and reduce fatigue.
✧ L-theanine + theine – Energy without spikes
The combination of natural caffeine with the amino acid L-theanine delivers clean, focused energy without the jitters, tension or sudden crashes. Focus that flows evenly — for many hours.
✧ Mineral profile – Nourishment for the body
Sakuro Matcha provides natural trace elements and chlorophyll that support the body’s cleansing, digestion and cell oxygenation. It’s your daily green reset.
✧ Natural weight loss support
The catechins in matcha speed up metabolism, support fat burning and curb appetite. That’s why Sakuro is so often chosen by people on a healthy lifestyle path.

Create your own health ceremony in a few simple steps:
- Add 2 scoops of Sakuro Matcha (approx. 2g) using the bamboo Chashaku spoon.
- Pour in 50 ml of water at 70–80°C. Never boiling water — water that is too hot destroys the delicacy.
- Whisk with the bamboo Chasen until you get a creamy froth.
- Top up with up to 200 ml of water or plant-based drink.
- Pause. Breathe. Savour.
This isn’t ordinary tea brewing. This is your private ZEN.
What do you need to start your matcha adventure?
To fully enjoy the ritual of preparing matcha, it’s worth reaching for the Sakuro Matcha set, which contains everything you need to get started. You receive high-quality ceremonial matcha, a ceramic matcha bowl, a bamboo chasen for frothing the drink and a traditional scoop (chashaku) for measuring out the powder. This means you don’t have to gather the accessories separately – you get a ready-made set that lets you feel the spirit of Japanese tradition straight away and prepare matcha in the most authentic way.
What does the growing and grinding process look like?
Tea bushes intended for matcha are specially shaded for several weeks before harvest, which increases the content of chlorophyll, caffeine and L-theanine. After harvesting, the leaves are steamed, dried and de-stemmed, then ground into a fine powder in stone mills. This traditional process preserves the full nutritional value and the characteristic flavor of matcha.
Does Sakuro Matcha contain gluten?
No, it is naturally gluten-free, vegan and lactose-free. It is a powder made from green tea leaves, so it can be drunk by people on gluten-free or plant-based diets.
How many calories does matcha have?
Matcha is a virtually calorie-free drink. One serving (approx. 2 g of powder) contains on average just 3 calories, which makes it a great choice even on a weight-loss diet. Importantly, these few calories come mainly from protein and the natural nutrients found in tea leaves, not from sugars or fats.
How much matcha can you drink a day?
Most often 1–2 servings a day are recommended, which provides the right amount of caffeine and nutrients. For most people that is enough to enjoy energy and concentration all day long. If you are sensitive to caffeine, it’s worth starting with one serving and observing how your body reacts.
Does matcha contain caffeine?
Yes, matcha contains caffeine; one serving (approx. 2 g of powder) has on average 60–80 mg of caffeine, roughly the same as a cup of coffee, although this depends on the type of matcha. The difference lies in the effect – thanks to the presence of L-theanine, the caffeine in matcha is released more slowly and gives a longer, gentler boost without sudden energy crashes.
Can children or pregnant women drink it?
Because matcha contains caffeine, children and pregnant women should drink it with caution or avoid it. In such cases it is best to consult a doctor. If someone is particularly sensitive to caffeine, it’s worth having a smaller serving or drinking it less often.
